Plaid Tour Sponshorship
grey line break

We're looking for opportunities to reduce production costs. Ideally, we'd like to accept sponsors at $10K - $30K levels, and create custom sponsorship programs as appropriate. These can include:
+ Title sponsorship - co-naming of entire tour, brand featured on all broadcasts, tour websites, and the van.
+ Sampling programs (promotional giveaways for each of our stops).
+ Video pre-roll spots prior to daily wrap up videos
+ Dashboard sponsorship - advertising and/or sponsor logo on the tour's primary website.
+ Blog sponsorship - advertising and/or sponsorship logos on the tour's primary blog
+ Social media sponsor - (we haven't yet announced what new tools we're debuting), but we'd work in sponsorship opportunities for each appropriate tool.

This is only the second time in history that this has been done - so there are no rules. We're open to any options or ideas! Last year's tour was a massive success, and we're looking to push that even further this summer.

It's a two week road tour, where we take a Plaid van from market to market, and visit brands, bloggers, fans and other agencies.
+ The tour is meant to be a rolling demonstration of some of the latest social media tools and a celebration of creativity.
+ We stop in a different market each day, Monday through Friday.
+ In each market, the van visits two brands, and typically meet with marketing people, brand teams, and sometimes larger groups (dependent on the brand).
+ In most markets, we'll schedule "tweet-ups", gathering together social media, marketing and internet workers from the area for a (real world) social gathering.

The entire event is produced like a multi-level reality show - part live, and partly produced, on a daily basis.
+ Entire tour is broadcast through several internet channels
+ LIve webcams in van
+ Video crew documenting entire tour, and producing daily video
+ Tour will be photographed and posted to tour Flickr page
+ Live video show broadcast on Ustream each day
+ Coverage on the tour blog, Brand Flakes for Breakfast, and Make the Logo Bigger. (Two of Advertising Age's Top 150 blogs)
+ Several new social media tools (to be announced) will be utilized and used to share the tour experience - but also showcase the tool's capabilities

+ Blogger reach out in advance and during tour
+ Traditional public relations campaign, market by market
+ Traditional public relations campaign targeting national business press
